Biography

H. Umut Tuğlu Karslı is a professor of Interior Architecture at Istanbul University. After graduated from Saint Benoit French High School, Dr. Karslı received her BArch and MArch degrees from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Proficiency in Art and PhD degrees in Interior Architecture from the same university. She conducts interior architecture design studio courses and teaches spatial organization and sustainable design for both undergraduate and graduate students. Her research areas include interior design research,  sustainable design,  user centered design, post-occupancy evaluation, spatial performance and adaptive reuse.
